Armadillidium omblae (Sandstone)
Sandstone omblae are one of those species that quietly steal the show — soft, warm tones that really do look like natural sandstone, paired with a smooth, rounded shape that’s just satisfying to see in the enclosure. Native to the Balkans, they’re on the slower side when it comes to breeding, but their subtle beauty makes them a favourite among collectors. They do best with moderate humidity, good ventilation, and a clear moisture gradient, plus a well-structured setup to explore and hide in.
Care at a Glance:
- Temp: 20–26 °C (68–78 °F)
- Humidity: Moderate with a dry-to-moist gradient
- Diet: Leaf litter, decaying wood, veggie scraps, supplemental protein
- Enclosure: Well-ventilated with hides in both dry and moist zones
Pack includes 12+ mixed-size isopods
