Whether you’re kickstarting a brand-new culture or giving an established one a boost, this clay creates a stable, reliable home base for your tiny cleanup crew. It resists breaking down over time, so your springtails always have a consistent place to live, feed, and reproduce—whether in culture containers or right inside a bioactive enclosure.

Mixing ratio is typically 2 parts clay to 1 part water by volume. 

This clay can be used for frog “mud baths” also, being high in calcium the only additional item recommended is dendrocare supplements. Great for dart frogs or other species commonly found in areas with higher mineral based substrates.
