Your go-to clean-up crew for warm, humid builds. Tropical whites are fast, reliable, and perfect for keeping mould and leftovers in check. This culture is on clay (not charcoal), so it’s tidy to work with, super easy to harvest, and won’t speckle your tank with black bits.

Why you’ll like this culture

  • Clay > charcoal: cleaner pours, no gritty mess.
  • Thrives warm & humid: multiply quickly in tropical vivs and isopod bins.
  • Bioactive essential: polishes surfaces and supports a stable micro-ecosystem.

What you get

  • 1 thriving cup of tropical white springtails on clay (mixed sizes), started in-house.
  • Ready for dart-frog vivariums, gecko enclosures, isopod tubs, millipede bins—anywhere you want a living clean-up crew.

Care & feeding (simple)

  • Keep the clay damp, not soaked. Use dechlorinated water.
  • Happy range: 22–26 °C (room temp works; they love it slightly warm).
  • Feed a tiny dusting of pill diet as needed. If fuzz shows up, you fed too much—vent the cup and pause feeding.
  • Crack the lid for fresh air a couple of times a week.

How to use

  • Tilt the cup and tap the clay like a salt shaker to “rain” springtails into the enclosure.
  • Seed both humid hides and leaf-litter zones for best coverage.
  • When the colony looks crowded, split it: move a chunk of clay into a new cup to keep a backup going.

Notes

  • Population ebbs and flows with heat and feeding—totally normal.
  • A little surface fuzz after feeding is fine; persistent odour means to vent and ease off the food.
